Job Description:
Hazardous Waste Assessor
*Location: Office-Based
*Job Type: Full-time, Mon - Fri
Join a leading Hazardous Waste Division as a Hazardous Waste Assessor. This role is perfect for scientific professionals with experience in chemicals, waste, or environmental operations who are eager to advance their expertise in hazardous waste classification and compliance.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Carry out technical assessments and accurately classify hazardous waste streams.
*Communicate with customers regarding quotations, documentation, and compliant labelling.
*Manage sales enquiries and support clients through pre-acceptance requirements.
*Identify safe and cost-effective treatment routes for waste.
*Provide technical advice to customers and internal teams.
*Maintain clear, timely communication throughout each enquiry.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*2–3 years’ experience in a chemical, waste, or environmental setting.
*Practical experience handling chemicals and following compliance or quality procedures.
*Previous experience as a Technical Assessor or Site Chemist is highly desirable.
*Degree in Chemistry or Environmental Science preferred; HNC/HND considered.
*Confident communicator with a professional, friendly manner.
*Full, indefinite UK working rights required (no sponsorship).
