About the Organisation
Our client is a large, international group with a complex legal and treasury structure spanning multiple jurisdictions. The organisation places a strong emphasis on robust financial governance, high-quality management reporting, and disciplined treasury operations.
This role sits within the Group Finance function and supports a key holding entity during a defined transition period, working closely with Group Consolidation, Treasury, Tax, and Statutory Reporting teams.
Role Purpose
The Senior Finance Analyst - will provide dedicated finance and treasury accounting support for a Group holding entity under a transitional services arrangement.
The role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely management reporting, a strong control environment, and full compliance with Group accounting policies and IFRS. You will play a key role in period-end close, intercompany funding, treasury accounting, and stakeholder coordination across Group Finance and Treasury.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced finance professional with strong technical accounting and treasury exposure, who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly controlled group environment.
Key Responsibilities
Management & Treasury Accounting
*Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
*Post and review treasury-related journals, including interest accruals, foreign exchange revaluations, and fair value movements, in line with IFRS and Group policies
*Reconcile intercompany funding and loan balances, including interest income and expense
*Ensure alignment between finance records and treasury systems used for funding and cash management
Month-End Close & Reporting
*Coordinate and deliver month-end close activities for the assigned entity in line with Group timetables
*Prepare entity-level reporting packs for submission to Group Reporting and Group Treasury
*Maintain and review balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts, ensuring timely resolution of open items
*Support the preparation of quarterly and year-end reporting schedules, including audit and statutory deliverables
Governance, Controls & Compliance
*Ensure all financial processes operate within the Group’s internal control framework
*Maintain up-to-date process documentation and support controls testing as required
*Act as a key point of contact for internal and external audit queries relating to the entity
Stakeholder Management & Continuous Improvement
*Work closely with Group Treasury, Group Finance, Tax, and Shared Services teams to ensure smooth intercompany and period-end processes
*Respond to ad-hoc analysis and information requests from senior stakeholders
*Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on process simplification, automation, and reporting efficiency
Candidate Profile
Experience & Qualifications
*Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
*Strong experience in management accounting, ideally with exposure to treasury accounting and intercompany funding
*Proven track record working in a large, complex, multi-entity group environment
*Solid understanding of IFRS, particularly in relation to financial instruments, FX, and intercompany balances
Technical Skills
*Strong month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation experience
*Comfortable working with treasury management systems and ERP platforms
*Advanced Excel skills; experience with reconciliation tools or close management systems beneficial
*Ability to interpret and apply accounting policy in a practical, commercial setting
