Job Description:
Reed HR are working alongside a Not for Profit organisation based in Central London who are recruiting for an experienced HR Casework Advisor to work within the Connexional Wellbeing Team.
Job Summary
The caseworker will actively manage wellbeing cases, provide guidance and support on individual wellbeing matters while ensuring that pastoral sensitivity and procedural fairness are upheld.
They will also contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the wellbeing function by managing the wellbeing inbox, undertaking financial processes, supporting the promotion of wellbeing events and seminars and working on projects that support the wellbeing strategy.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Management of wellbeing casework
- Provide advice and guidance to ministers and managers on wellbeing matters, ensuring legal compliance and pastoral care requirements are balanced.
- Handle individual wellbeing and absence management cases, ensuring they are managed with empathy, confidentiality and in line with the Company’s values and HR policies.
- Working collaboratively with the People Partners to provide advice on wellbeing matters for the Connexional Team.
2. Wellbeing policies and procedures
- Working with the Wellbeing Managers to review specific wellbeing documents:
o Ensure the latest employment legislation is reflected appropriately within the documents to ensure legal compliance
o Apply and interpret relevant ministerial Standing Orders to the Wellbeing procedures
o Engage with the key users to promote and ensure effective utilisation of the procedures.
3. Wellbeing Resources
- Working with the Wellbeing Managers and Director of HR to review the wellbeing resources in accordance with the team’s project plan and priorities.
- Identify the availability of other wellbeing services and resources to complement the provision of the existing resources.
4. Wellbeing Queries and Records Management
- Effective management of the wellbeing inbox:
o Respond to straightforward queries as appropriate and agreed by the Wellbeing Managers,
o Delegate complex queries to the Wellbeing Managers,
o Ensure application of employment legislation and Standing Orders when dealing with queries
5. Financial systems
- Manage the administration and processing of the financial documentation relating to wellbeing processes including liaising with suppliers and the finance team, raising purchase orders, administering invoices and ensuring the application of correct budget codes to the processes.
6. Wellbeing Events
- Liaising with the Wellbeing Managers and HR colleagues, as applicable, to promote, national & international awareness dates and wellbeing events.
- Work with the Wellbeing Managers to develop insightful reports to assess usage and benefit of information, resources and events that have been provided, identifying and implementing any agreed actions as a result.
- Liaise with external wellbeing support providers to arrange relevant training and resources.
