Operations Manager - IFA Practice
Location: Redditch
Salary: Up to £55,000
An established and highly respected Independent Financial Planning firm is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to play a key role in the continued growth and development of the business.
This is a senior, hands-on position where you will work closely with the Directors, advisers, and compliance function to drive operational excellence, improve efficiencies, and lead business support teams.

The role
Reporting directly to the Directors, you will:
" Recommend and implement operational improvements across the business
" Lead and deliver key projects with internal stakeholders
" Monitor operational performance and business strategy to maximise productivity
" Review and streamline processes, workflows, costs, and profitability
" Manage and develop Business Support and Paraplanning teams, including training and performance management
" Oversee recruitment, probation reviews, and appraisals
" Work closely with the Compliance Manager, ensuring adherence to FCA rules and Consumer Duty
" Act as a technical point of contact for advisers and staff
" Take overall responsibility for back-office operations, including staff holiday management
About you
" Diploma in Financial Planning (Level 4) is a key requirement for this role
" Advanced qualifications or other recognised industry qualifications highly desirable
" Strong paraplanning and technical report writing experience
" Proven experience managing and developing staff
" Excellent knowledge of FCA regulations and Consumer Duty
" Confident user of Intelligent Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook
" Experience with platforms, commissions, and fees on Intelligent Office preferred
