Description
*Oversee a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring their tax affairs comply with statutory time limits.
*Provide tax planning advice and identify tax saving opportunities for clients.
*Prepare tax returns and computations, liaising with clients to gather necessary information.
*Review tax returns and computations completed by junior staff.
*Manage and develop junior members of the team.
*Maintain strong relationships with clients and HMRC.
*Keep up to date with tax legislation changes and communicate these to clients and staff.
*Assist in the growth of the tax department through business development activities.
Profile
A successful Personal Tax Manager should have:
*Professional tax or accounting qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA or ATT).
*Solid experience in a personal tax role within a professional services environment.
*Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation.
*Good organisational and time management skills.
