Autism Support Assistant – Slough
Location: Slough
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to work within a caring and inclusive school in Slough. The role involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide one-to-one support for students with autism
*Assist in creating structured, calm learning environments
*Work with teachers and SENCO to deliver tailored learning plans
*Encourage social skills development and emotional regulation
*Support students with transitions and sensory needs
Requirements:
*Experience working with children with autism or similar needs
*Understanding and patient approach to support and communication
*Team player with a positive attitude
*Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain one)
