Job Description:
Trainee Behaviour Mentor – Brighton
Engage Education are working closely with a secondary provision in Brighton that supports students with behavioural and emotional needs. The school places a strong emphasis on pupils’ emotional wellbeing and is seeking a committed Trainee Behaviour Mentor to provide additional pastoral and classroom support when required.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in education and mental health. The timetable is expected to be largely full-time, though some flexibility is available depending on school needs.
Full online training will be provided to help you develop confidence in supporting pupils from a therapeutic and nurturing perspective. You will also benefit from ongoing in-school guidance and support from experienced staff.
The role
*Supporting vulnerable students aged 11–16
*Helping to de-escalate situations calmly and effectively
*Working alongside teaching and support staff to keep pupils engaged and minimise disruption
*Providing pastoral support throughout the school day
*Full-time or part-time availability, typically 8:15am – 4:00pm
