We are recruiting a Patent Secretary to join a busy and supportive professional services environment. This role would suit an experienced Legal PA or Secretary, or someone with exposure to IP or another legal setting, who is keen to develop a career in patents. Full training will be provided for candidates without direct patent experience.
The Role
You will provide comprehensive secretarial, PA and administrative support to a small group of fee earners of mixed seniority, playing a key role in maintaining efficient workflows and high client service standards.
Key Responsibilities
*Preparing, formatting and amending legal documents and correspondence
*Managing diaries, meetings, travel arrangements and day-to-day priorities
*Monitoring deadlines and prompt schedules using internal systems
*Liaising professionally with clients, attorneys and external bodies
*Supporting billing, file management and general administrative processes
*Assisting with projects and providing cover for colleagues when required
About You
*Previous experience as a Legal PA, Secretary or Administrator (IP experience advantageous but not essential)
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail
*Confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
*Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach
*Comfortable using document management systems and Microsoft Office
