Job Description:
We’re delighted to be working with a long-established and highly regarded independent insurance broker based in Doncaster, who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Commercial Account Handler to join their expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced handler seeking to take ownership of a high-quality portfolio of clients, work on more complex risks, and be part of a forward-thinking, growing brokerage that truly values its people.
The Role:
As a Senior Account Handler, you’ll manage a portfolio of commercial clients across a variety of industries, ensuring they receive the highest level of service and advice. You’ll work closely with Account Executives, supporting renewals, placements, and ongoing client management.
Key Responsibilities:
*Managing renewals, mid-term adjustments, and client queries efficiently and accurately
*Preparing and issuing documentation and renewal reports
*Negotiating terms with insurers to secure competitive and comprehensive cover
*Supporting Account Executives with client meetings, presentations, and tenders
*Maintaining compliance with FCA and company standards
*Providing guidance and support to junior members of the team
*Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and insurers
About You:
*Proven experience in a commercial insurance handling role, ideally at senior level
*Strong technical knowledge of commercial products, including property, liability, fleet, and combined policies
*Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail
*Experience using Acturis (preferred but not essential)
*Cert CII qualified or working towards (support provided)
