EAL Teaching Assistant - Secondary School, North Leeds
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Location: North Leeds
Prospero Teaching is looking for an enthusiastic and committed EAL (English as an Additional Language) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in North Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to help students develop their English language skills and thrive academically.
Role Responsibilities *Provide targeted support to students with English as an Additional Language across KS3 and KS4.
*Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt resources and deliver interventions.
*Encourage language development and confidence in both spoken and written English.
*Track and report on student progress to ensure effective support.
Ideal Candidate *Holds an ESOL qualification (desirable).
*Previous experience supporting EAL learners in a school setting is desirable.
*Strong communication skills and a proactive, patient approach.
*Must have a valid Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one.
*Right to work in the UK.
