Job Description:
Salary: £30k Basic with a £45k OTE Plus Car
The role of Sales Manager is responsible for staff training and development and overall profitability of a high-volume airport.
The sales staff will deal with car hire for passengers that have just flown into Manchester Airport for a holiday or business travel.
All the leads are warm as they need the car to get out the airport, it’s a great opportunity to make commission.
The team you manage will be responsible for selling and upselling car rental to tourists, members of the local community and local businesses. The sales team will offer car & insurance upgrades plus optional extras like satellite navigation & child seats.
Shifts:
*Mon-Fri: 7am-3.30pm or 9.30am-6pm
*One weekend in 4 with days off in the week when working weekend
*During the summer every other Saturday 8am-2pm with one day off in the week given for this
Main responsibilities:
*Service based sales management
*Staff training, development, coaching and corrective action
*Sales and financial reporting
*Staff performance management and team building to achieve sales objectives
*Maximise incremental sales through effective training and staff development
*Work closely with management and department leaders
Key Skills/Experience Needed:
*Experience in management of direct customer contact, employee relations, budget and P&L review
*Ability to exercise sound judgment and make prudent decisions
*Excellent communication skills with ability to build rapport across the organisation with peers, staff and management, both written and verbal
*Strong team-oriented leadership skills and proven track record in a management role
*Ability to attract, evaluate, coach, and advance staff to create an effective team
*Working knowledge Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Power Point.
