Job Description:
Primary SEN Teacher
*Job Type: Temporary (potential to become permanent)
*Location: Bletchley, Milton Keynes
*Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
*Start Date: January
We are seeking a dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join our supportive team, starting in January. This role involves working across various classes, supporting students with special educational needs, including non-verbal and low-ability learners. This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified teachers who are looking to make a significant impact in a rewarding environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide cover teaching across Class 1 and Class 2 (KS1), both of which include low-ability and some non-verbal students, as well as Class 5 which has mixed needs.
*Conduct 30-minute lessons focusing on engaging and supporting each student according to their individual needs.
*Work closely with other teaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning and well-being.
*Monitor and support the learning of the students, adapting conventional teaching methods to meet the individual needs of pupils.
*No lesson planning or marking is required, allowing full focus on in-class support and student interaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
*Experience in a primary and/or SEN setting is advantageous but not essential.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
*A compassionate and patient approach to teaching with an understanding of special educational needs.
*Ability to engage and inspire students who may have challenging behaviour or different learning abilities.
