We are recruiting on behalf of a Legal 500 rated law firm seeking a Senior Employment Lawyer (Associate or above) to join their team in Birmingham.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with significant experience in employment law, who is ready to take on senior responsibilities, lead complex legal matters, and contribute to the growth of a purpose-led team.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
*Significant experience in employment law (ideally 6+ PQE) with the confidence to handle complex legal matters independently.
*A proven track record of supervising or mentoring colleagues and supporting their professional growth.
*Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to become a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across various sectors.
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Employment Lawyer, you will play a pivotal role within the team by:
*Providing expert legal advice on employment law matters such as employee relations issues (disciplinaries, grievances, whistleblowing), discrimination cases, safeguarding concerns, and other sensitive workplace matters.
*Leading large-scale projects, including reorganisations, redundancy programmes, TUPE transfers, and other complex restructuring initiatives.
*Managing Employment Tribunal claims for respondent clients across key sectors, ensuring robust representation and practical solutions tailored to each client’s needs.
*Supervising and mentoring junior colleagues, offering guidance and development support to help them grow professionally.
*Contributing to business development efforts, helping the team expand its market-leading presence through networking, thought leadership, and client engagement activities.
