Job Opportunity: Private Client Solicitor
Location: Glasgow
Overview:
An established and growing firm in Glasgow is looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied and often complex caseload while working closely with an experienced Partner. The role suits someone with case handling experience who wants to develop professionally in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Role Requirements:
Experience:
*Minimum 1-year PQE in a Private Client or estate team
*Handling testate and intestate estates, including exposure to Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains and Income Tax matters
*Comfortable managing cases from start to finish with support from colleagues
*Experience working collaboratively with other fee-earners and administrators
Skills:
*Technical knowledge of estate administration
*Excellent organisational and caseload management abilities
*Clear, empathetic communication with clients and colleagues
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Proactive, "can do" attitude
Desirable but not essential:
*STEP qualification
*Dual qualification in Scottish and English law
Key Responsibilities:
*Manage a personal caseload with guidance from Partners and Associates
*Meet clients in person, by phone and via video calls
*Work alongside colleagues to ensure smooth case progression
*Refer work to other departments when appropriate to enhance client service
*Support business development initiatives and contribute to team growth
