Job Description:
A market-leading listed organisation within the manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support a growing division within the business. The role is based in Alfreton (with hybrod working), and it is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, ambitious business where people are genuinely valued and finance plays a critical role in operational decision-making.
Reporting to the Head of Operational Finance, you will be a senior member of a high-performing finance team, with responsibility for financial and management reporting across key operational divisions. You will act as a trusted business partner to senior operational stakeholders, helping drive performance, manage risk, and support strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities: * Act as a strategic finance business partner to your area of responsibility
* Full P&L ownership for a growing subsidiary, including month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting
* Identify and analyse risks and opportunities to support delivery of annual targets
* Lead financial appraisal and cost tracking for strategic projects
* Develop deep operational knowledge of manufacturing processes, becoming a key point of reference
* Deliver insightful performance analysis for internal and external stakeholders
Key skills / qualifications: * CIMA or ACCA qualified accountant
* Experience within a manufacturing or operational environment
* SAP or IFS systems experience advantageous (financial and production modules)
* Confident working with operational teams and translating activity into financial insight
* Proactive, positive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and prioritise effectively
