Head of Department – Conveyancing Solihull
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Department to provide professional leadership, supervise a high-performing team and deliver an excellent legal service to internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead, manage and inspire a team of fee earners, ensuring high standards of performance and client service
*Monitor case handling, workloads, targets, budgets and financial performance
*Drive growth by identifying opportunities to increase fee-earning capacity and business development
*Work collaboratively with other Heads of Department to ensure consistency of service delivery
*Recruit, coach, develop and retain talented team members, including trainees
*Conduct supervision, appraisals, one-to-ones and performance management
*Provide technical support on complex or high-profile cases
*Ensure compliance with Lexcel and quality assurance standards
*Oversee file reviews, time recording, debt management and client feedback
*Handle complaints at first instance to ensure positive client outcomes

*Proven leadership and people management experience
*Strong financial, operational and strategic awareness
*Excellent client care and technical legal skills
*A role model who leads by example and drives team success
*10 Years and above PQE
