Job Description:
The Transactional Finance Manager leads the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Control functions, ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant financial operations. This role focuses on driving process improvements, strengthening controls, and developing a high-performing team to support the organisation’s growth and operational excellence.

Description
Transactional Finance Leadership
*Lead the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Control functions, ensuring efficient, accurate, and scalable operations.
*Drive process improvements through automation and best practice, strengthening financial controls and enhancing service delivery.
*Oversee all AP/AR activities, including BACS runs, urgent payments, reconciliations, and compliance checks.
*Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and reporting is high quality.
*Champion modern ways of working, including digital workflows and data-driven decision-making.
Team Development & Business Partnering
*Motivate and develop AP, AR, and Credit Control teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
*Set clear performance goals aligned with business priorities and support team success.
*Act as the primary contact for transactional finance across the business, delivering responsive and service-oriented support.
*Collaborate with the Finance Director and wider finance team to enhance reporting and influence business performance.
Systems & Compliance
*Promote best practice in financial systems usage (e.g., Salesforce/Certinia), supporting upgrades and workflow improvements.
*Ensure robust controls and compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
*Support audits and manage supplier/customer onboarding processes.
Profile
*Proven experience managing AP, AR, and Credit Control teams in a fast-paced or growing environment.
*Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial controls.
*Experience with automation tools and modern finance systems (Salesforce/FinancialForce desirable).
*Advanced Excel skills and a data-driven mindset.
*Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
*Calm under pressure, proactive, and solutions-focused.
