Key Responsibilities * Support pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health needs

* Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning activities planned by the teacher

* Assist pupils with personal care where required (training provided)

* Help implement Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and behaviour support strategies

* Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social interaction

* Support pupils’ communication, independence, and life skills

* Prepare learning materials and assist with classroom organisation

* Observe, monitor, and record pupil progress, feeding back to teaching staff

* Support pupils during transitions, break times, and off-site activities

* Maintain a safe, caring, and inclusive environment at all times

* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and external agencies

* Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times

Person SpecificationEssential Criteria * Experience of working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting

* A caring, patient, and resilient approach

* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

* Good communication and teamwork skills

* Willingness to support pupils with a variety of complex needs

* Basic literacy and numeracy skills (GCSEs or equivalent desirable)

* Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities

* Willingness to undertake training and professional developmen
