Job Description:
Join a prestigious firm with over 90 years of experience in providing dynamic and imaginative accounting solutions across various sectors, including entertainment, sports, and creative professions. We are looking for a Credit Controller to enhance our team’s effectiveness by ensuring optimal cash flow and minimising overdue debt while maintaining positive client relationships.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage and monitor client accounts to ensure timely payments.
*Communicate with clients to resolve outstanding invoices and discrepancies.
*Prepare detailed reports on accounts receivable status for managers and partners.
*Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
*Maintain accurate records of all transactions and interactions with clients.
*Conduct regular meetings with managers and partners regarding their debt portfolios.
*Identify problem debts that require escalation and liaise with partners as appropriate.
*Ensure minimal adjustments in the debtors ledger and proper handling of overpayments or payments on account.
*Implement and apply consistent credit control procedures.
*Actively chase all overdue debt within the allotted portfolio and update partners/managers as necessary.
*Engage and manage the process of debts that need to go legal when necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Credit Controller within an accountancy or professional services firm.
*Proficient in credit control processes and industry best practices.
*Skilled in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
*Strong organisational and time-management skills.
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
*Keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
*Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
