We are on the lookout for a dynamic Deputy Head of Faculty for our Land Based & Equine department at a college in Northamptonshire. ??�?
This role is part of our commitment to investing in our staff and offers a chance to lead curriculum planning and development across a diverse range of subjects, including agriculture, arboriculture, countryside management, horticulture, and floristry. �?
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead curriculum planning and development to ensure industry relevance.
- Monitor teaching standards through observations and training.
- Deliver up to 7.5 hours of high-quality teaching weekly.
- Oversee student performance and implement timely interventions.
- Provide pastoral and tutorial support.
- Build strong links with employers and professional bodies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate digital and skills-based learning.
Candidate Requirements:
- Must hold a teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) and have extensive experience in Further Education.
- A degree or relevant professional qualification in the subject area is essential.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and support staff development.
- Experience in curriculum development, quality assurance, and strategic planning.
- Ability to analyse and use data to drive continuous improvement.
- Demonstrable evidence of improving learner achievement.
- Experience in an agricultural role or environment would be beneficial although not essential.
The position offers a competitive salary of £42,444 - £44,962 per annum, dependent on skills and experience. ??
