Teaching Assistant (TA2/TA3)

*Hours: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm (Lunchtime support), 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm (Classroom support), Optional: 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm (After School Club at OOSC level pay)
We are seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant (TA2 or TA3) to join our team after Christmas. This role is crucial for implementing a ’team around the child’ approach for pupils with EHCPs. You will work with two children at different times—one with Autism and another with SEMH needs—to enable our current 1:1 staff to shadow and train for greater flexibility across our SEND provision.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide lunchtime support and classroom support during specified hours.
*Work directly with two children with different needs (Autism and SEMH), facilitating their learning and engagement.
*Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the learning environment and ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
*Participate in training and development sessions as required to better support the needs of the students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant (TA2 or TA3).
*Ability to step into the role with minimal training and adapt quickly.
*Skilled at forming positive relationships with SEND pupils.
*Strong team player who can work collaboratively with other staff members.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
