Teaching Assistant – Upper KS2 (Y5/Y6)
*Location: Wyre (PR3)
*Start Date: Monday 5th January (Spring Term)
*Hours: Part-time (mornings only + 30 minutes lunchtime welfare duty)
*Contract Type: Term-time only
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a mixed Year 5/6 class at a lovley rural primary school. This role is crucial in helping pupils achieve their full potential in English and Maths, working closely with the class teacher to enhance learning and classroom management.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Support teaching and learning in a mixed-age Y5/Y6 classroom.
*Deliver focused interventions and small group work, particularly in upper KS2 Maths and English.
*Assist with classroom management and pupil engagement.
*Provide welfare support during lunchtime (30 minutes daily).
*Collaborate with the class teacher to plan and adapt learning activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong competency in teaching upper KS2 Maths and English.
*Previous experience supporting KS2 pupils.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
*Relevant qualifications or experience in education.
