Contract: Permanent
Hours: 1200 – 1500 hrs Monday to Friday

*12:00 pm – 3:00 pm (Mon–Fri)
Salary: £13.62 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Canteen Assistant to join our catering team and contribute to the smooth running of the College Dining Hall. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with catering experience who enjoys working in a busy, student-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist in the daily operation of the Dining Hall under the Catering Manager’s direction.
*Prepare and organise the dining area, including tables, chairs, and serving points.
*Carry out general kitchen and dining duties, including washing up and cleaning equipment.
*Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, servery, and dining areas.
*Operate food service points and till/cashless systems.
*Promote meals to students and staff.
*Comply with Health & Safety regulations and report any issues promptly.
*Provide cover for colleagues during absences and support College events as required.
Essential Experience
*1 year or more relevant experience.
*Previous experience in a catering environment.
*Experience working within a school or educational setting.
*Familiarity with point-of-sale or cashless systems.
*Valid Access NI (Reed will support this application)
