Job Description:
Health and Safety Administrator
*Annual Salary: PAYE £15.06 UMBRELLA £19.49
*Location: Dorchester - MUST be able to drive and hold a full UK driving licence
*Job Type: Full-time - Temporary contract for 6 Months
*Working Environment: First 3 months fully office based last 3 months hybrid
MUST HOLD 4 GCSES GRADE C OR ABOVE INCLUDING ENGLISH AND MATHS
We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Administrator to provide essential administrative support and assessor resource to our Health and Safety team. This role is crucial for the efficient operation of the department, ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and associated legislation.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide a wide range of administrative services including minute-taking at meetings, managing diary and travel arrangements, word processing, document production, and database management.
*Act as a point of contact for the department, supporting staff in following established Health & Safety procedures and systems.
*Maintain and interrogate data systems to ensure the integrity and safekeeping of all data, and produce draft performance reports.
*Assist in the preparation and production of draft annual and quarterly performance reports, collecting and collating data for government annual returns.
*Manage processes for gathering relevant injury/harm information, ensuring all reports are recorded and reported to RIDDOR when necessary.
*Provide administrative support for various systems and tasks including Sycle, Agresso, Connect, COSHH, and risk assessments.
*Be responsible for information flow within the department, handling enquiries, and escalating issues when necessary.
*Source, maintain, and manage a database of relevant electronic documents to ensure accessibility and facilitate research into best practices.
*Conduct workplace visits, inspections, and ISO 45001 internal audits as required, and produce written reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a Health and Safety environment.
*Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations and the ability to maintain compliance with legal and organisational standards.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Proficiency in using office software and databases, with specific experience in systems like Agresso, Sycle, and Connect.
*Ability to travel across Dorset & Wiltshire for workplace visits and inspections.
