Semi Senior Accountant

Are you ready to take the next step in your accounting career? We’re working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice that is looking for a Semi Senior Accountant to join their team. Key Responsibilities
*Prepare monthly financial statements and reports under UK GAAP (FRS 102, FRS 105).
*Produce trial balance, draft accounts, management accounts, and corporation tax computations.
*Generate management reports on a monthly or quarterly basis.
*Maintain general ledger and fixed asset processing for allocated clients.
*Review and reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
*Conduct audits and ensure document security.
*Perform financial and profitability analysis.
*Prepare business plans and assess R&D Tax Credit eligibility.
*Handle EIS/SEIS schemes, HMRC enquiries, and complex tax planning.
*Prepare VAT returns and manage cross-border VAT issues.
*Advise on property taxes, CIS returns, ATED, stamp duty, and inheritance tax planning.
What We’re Looking For
*Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
*Strong experience in accounts and tax, including capital gains and IHT.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Proficiency in QuickBooks and TaxCalc (2–3 years).
*High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
*A proactive team player with strong adherence to policies and procedures.
