Practice Nurse - Contract | Brighton | Up to 37.5 Hours per Week

Practice Nurse - Key Responsibilities

As a Practice Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

*Managing chronic diseases through assessment, diagnosis, and developing personalized care plans
*Delivering QOF and enhanced service requirements efficiently
*Conducting investigations such as spirometry and reversibility testing
*Providing wound care, including complex wound management
*Performing health checks, NHS health checks, and cardiovascular assessments
*Monitoring blood pressure, blood glucose, and conducting ECGs and phlebotomy
*Offering health promotion services like cervical screening, travel immunizations, and smoking cessation support
*Supporting mental health initiatives and medication monitoring
*Additional clinical duties such as ear care and minor surgery support
*Conducting safeguarding assessments and social risk evaluations
Leadership & Management

*Lead and support the nursing team through supervision, appraisals, and team development
*Contribute to workforce planning and service development initiatives
Candidate Requirements

*Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
*Previous general practice experience preferred
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to work both independently and within a team
*Strong organisational skills with a patient-centred approach
*Knowledge of confidentiality and information governance
*Competent in IT systems; experience with SystmOne is desirable
