Employee Relations Advisor
*Contract Duration: 6 months
*Organisation: Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA)
*Rate: £20.22 per hour (PAYE)
GMCA are seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to supporting the Employee Relations team by assisting with a range of activities including case management and departmental change initiatives. The successful candidate will report to the Employee Relations Manager and will play a key role in maintaining our culture of excellence.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Support the Employee Relations Business Partners in managing a variety of employee relations cases.
*Take accurate notes and prepare hearing packs for Employee Relations cases.
*Assist with project work, including reviewing policies to ensure consistency and best practice.
*Train and develop managers to undertake less complex employee relations activities independently.
*Coordinate Employee Relations processes such as training courses, document management, information requests, and pay extension processes.
*Maintain and develop effective People Services processes and associated guidance for both internal and external use.
*Provide support during change consultations and in dealings with Trade Unions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience in supporting a broad range of casework including attendance management, capability, and disciplinary issues.
*Ability to hit the ground running and contribute effectively to our team.
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
*Resilient and tenacious with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
*Experience in coordinating and leading core Employee Relation activities.
