Role – Office Administrator
Type of Business – Charity
Location – Rochdale
Salary - £25,703 (plus excellent benefits)
Hours – Monday-Friday 37hrs p/w (Flexible start and finish times)
We are working exclusively for a rewarding charity based in Rochdale. The charity work to reduce homelessness by finding homes in the private rented sector for people on low incomes and have over 30 years in achieving these goals.
They are now looking for an Administrator to be responsible for the day to day running of the Rochdale head office and provide administrative support. The ideal candidate will have previous administration experience, be organised and approachable, taking ownership of projects and prioritising their workload whilst supporting the needs of the organisation. There is contact with service users and stakeholders, therefore good interpersonal skills are needed. Strong organisational skills, has great attention to detail are required and the ability to work flexibly.
It’s a varied and rewarding role.
About the role:
*Undertake general administrative tasks including answering telephones, responding to enquiries, maintaining office systems, ordering materials, managing office equipment, filing, archiving, arranging meetings, and booking meeting rooms.
*Ensure office systems are accurate, up-to-date, and well maintained.
*Manage facilities and equipment, liaising with landlords, service providers, and contractors. Maintain asset records and ensure goods/equipment are signed out and returned.
*Assist in developing and improving administrative procedures to meet changing demands.
*Service quarterly Trustees meetings and other meetings as required, including taking accurate minutes.
*Participate in team meetings and other organisational meetings when requested.
*Assist with processing financial information, including invoices, petty cash, and expense claims (e.g., travel, company cards).
*Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with organisational procedures.
*Provide general administrative support to the team as needed.
*Answer telephone enquiries and record information appropriately.
*Support office cover arrangements as part of the team.
Holidays:
27 days per annum + Bank holidays + 5 days child care leave + 5 days carer leave - Increasing by an extra day per year after the second year of continuous employment, until a maximum of 32 days annual leave has been reached for full time staff.
