Sales Ledger Clerk
Leeds Office | Permanent, Full-Time
Elevation Recruitment Group are working on behalf of a large business based in Leeds, who are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Sales Ledger Clerk to join their Leeds-based finance team. About the Role
Reporting to the Sales Ledger Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the sales ledger function, ensuring all billing activities are completed accurately, on time, and in line with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Review the daily invoice pipeline and ensure invoices are posted in line with billing deadlines
* Distribute invoices appropriately, including submission via client portals
* Maintain a strong understanding of corporate governance
* Build and maintain knowledge of client invoicing requirements (POs, references, back-up documentation, etc.)
* Complete compliance invoice checks and approve or reject transactions accordingly
* Manage billing mailboxes and respond to queries independently and as part of the team
* Support inter-company non-cash settlements, including reporting, investigations, and discrepancy resolution
* Assist with month-end reporting and closing activities
*Provide credit control support outside of billing periods
Skills & Experience
* Experience working in a busy, professional, and demanding environment
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality outputs
* Good understanding of Excel and strong keyboard skills
* High level of numeracy and accuracy with data input
* Ability to identify and escalate potential risks appropriately
Personal Attributes
* Excellent communication skills at all levels
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* A proactive self-starter who can set and achieve goals
* Confident, outgoing, and able to build strong relationships with stakeholders
* A flexible team player with a willingness to learn
* Experience of people management is desirable
