Full-time, Permanent | Immediate Start | Term-time Only
Location: Gosport, Hampshire
Hours: 31.25 hours per week (term time)
Salary: Band D Support Staff – from £18,515 FTE (Hampshire pay scale; pending pay award)

? Role Summary
As an HLTA, you’ll work in partnership with class teachers and senior leaders to:
*Lead whole-class learning during PPA, teacher absence, or leadership release time
*Deliver targeted small-group interventions and individual support
*Maintain continuity of teaching, preparing and adapting lessons and learning materials
*Contribute to pupil self-esteem, independence, inclusion, and behaviour management
?? Key Responsibilities
*Plan, teach, and evaluate whole-class or small-group sessions
*Support with assessing, monitoring, and recording pupil progress
*Work with pupils with SEND; deliver IEP, EHCP and targeted interventions
*Promote positive learning environments and pupil independence
*Provide feedback to class teachers and adapt future learning materials
*Contribute to safeguarding, liaising across staff teams and parents
�? We’re Looking For Someone Who:
*Is nurturing, motivated, with a great sense of humour
*Has (or is working toward) HLTA status or appropriate Level 4 qualification (not essential for the right candidate)
*Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics (minimum Grade C)
*Can lead lessons, cover classes, and deliver focused interventions
*Is ambitious for pupil progress, fostering a love of learning and success
