This isn’t a background finance role.
It’s for someone who likes things done properly - accurately and on time. Someone who’s happy owning the detail, speaking to suppliers and clients, and keeping the finance function running smoothly day to day.
You’ll be a key part of the finance team, supporting everything from purchase and sales ledger through to month-end and year-end. If you’re organised, proactive and comfortable working with numbers and people, you’ll fit right in.
What will you be doing?
*Maintain purchase and sales ledgers in Xero, ensuring all supplier and client records are accurate and up to date
*Process purchase invoices, sales invoices, staff expenses and company debit card transactions in a timely manner
*Reconcile supplier statements, client accounts and bank accounts (multiple accounts and currencies)
*Manage credit control and act as a key point of contact for invoice-related queries internally and externally
*Ensure VAT is correctly accounted for across all transactions
*Support month-end and year-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
*Manage shared finance inboxes and respond to queries professionally and efficiently
You’ll ideally bring:
*Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software (Xero experience desirable)
*AAT or equivalent, or part-qualified and continuing your studies
*Excellent attention to detail and numerical ability
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills
*Confidence dealing with suppliers, clients and colleagues
*The ability to manage your time, multitask and work independently
