Role Overview
Our client is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their finance career. This 10-month maternity cover role is perfect for individuals with limited experience but a genuine interest in the finance sector and a strong eagerness to learn. You will join a small, supportive team and work closely with the Financial Controller, gaining hands-on exposure to purchase ledger, sales ledger, cash management, and wider finance administration.
Key Responsibilities
*Purchase Ledger – Post supplier invoices, reconcile statements, assist with payments
*Sales Ledger – Record receipts, support customer account management
*Bank & Cash – Carry out reconciliations, manage petty cash
*General Support – Provide ad hoc assistance, support reporting and administration tasks
Candidate Profile
*No prior finance experience required – full training and support will be provided
*Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
*Organised, reliable, and keen to develop new skills
*Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and IT systems (basic knowledge is sufficient)
*Positive attitude, team-focused, and motivated to build a career in finance
