Day-to-day of the role:
*Prepare VAT returns and bookkeeping services using Xero or Quickbooks from incomplete client records.
*Prepare business and statutory accounts under appropriate accounting standards.
*Prepare corporation and personal tax returns.
*Liaise with clients on matters arising and advise on personal and tax liabilities.
*Supervise and support junior colleagues in their tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Familiarity with preparing statutory accounts.
*Proficient in bookkeeping.
*Basic knowledge of corporation tax.
*Some audit experience is preferred but not essential.
*Strong IT skills, including Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
*Confidence with accounting software, preferably CCH.
*Ideally AAT Level 4 qualified or equivalent.
*Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and committed.
*Excellent communication skills and a team player.
*Professional and organised.
