Digital Inclusion Coordinator
*Hourly Rate: £16.50 - £18.01 PAYE
*Location: Oldham (Hybrid working)
*Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a Digital Inclusion Coordinator to develop and maintain successful relationships with partners, stakeholders, and agencies across the public and third sectors. This role is crucial for enhancing digital training and inclusion within the community, focusing on creating a digital curriculum that meets the diverse needs of residents in Oldham.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Conduct a mapping exercise of courses delivered digitally in Oldham to assess current offerings and gaps.
*Perform research activities to identify digital training needs by collaborating with residents, community & voluntary sectors, housing associations, and Job Centre Plus.
*Develop a digital curriculum that is fit for purpose, which may include contextualised courses such as using the Council MyAccount for managing Council Tax/welfare benefits, digital banking, online shopping, and staying connected with families.
*Coordinate the ’classroom in a box’ initiative to deliver courses directly within the community.
*Manage the distribution of dongles to residents based on need and eligibility, ensuring digital access.
*Facilitate meetings, presentations, and information day activities to promote digital inclusion and other Adult Education Budget (AEB) courses.
*Measure and evaluate the quality, performance, and impact of the project by recording appropriate impact data and presenting activity reports to the area steering group.
*Develop strong working relationships with elected members, providing high-level advice and support to contribute to the programme’s performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in developing and managing educational or training programs, particularly in a digital context.
*Strong ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders including residents, community groups, and local government.
*Excellent organisational and project management skills.
*Ability to facilitate and present at meetings and public forums effectively.
*Experience in data collection, analysis, and report writing.
*Knowledge of the local area and community needs is highly advantageous.
