Job Description:
Long term - 2 days per week job - based in a school in East London
Job Title: Finance Administrator
Reports to: School Business Manager / Finance Manager
Location: East London
Department: Finance & Administration
Purpose of Role:
To support the Finance Manager and wider Trust Finance team in delivering high-quality financial and administrative services, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and value for money across school operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Duties:
*Assist with processing invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims using ACCESS
*Maintain financial records and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
*Support budget monitoring by verifying purchase orders against budget allocations.
*Manage petty cash, banking, and monthly reconciliations.
*Generate financial reports for budgeting, funding, and year-end processes.
*Maintain ParentPay system and support financial queries from parents.
*Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and returns.
Skills & Experience:
*Experience in finance administration, ideally within an educational setting.
*Proficiency in ACCESS is a must to be considered for this position
*Strong organisational and communication skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
Subject to school vetting procedures and safeguarding including Enhanced DBS clearance
