Cover Supervisor – Aspiring Teacher
Location: SE2, South East London
Start Date: January
Contract: Full-time, term time
A welcoming and well-organised secondary school in the SE2 area is seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis from January.
This role is ideal for someone with strong classroom presence who is interested in gaining valuable experience in a secondary school setting, particularly for those considering a future career in teaching or education.
The Role:
* Supervising classes during teacher absences across KS3 and KS4

* Delivering pre-set lesson plans and ensuring students remain on task

* Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

* Supporting students with their learning and responding to questions where appropriate

* Ensuring a safe, calm, and productive learning environment

* Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and behaviour

The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based experience preferred)

* Be confident managing a classroom and engaging students

* Have strong communication and organisational skills

* Be calm, professional, and adaptable

* Be committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing

* Be available to work full time from January
