Job Description:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join my clients busy team, working within our well-established and growing Canterbury based practice.
The Role:
Working within the Finance Team you will assist the CFO with a range of functions, including:
Regular bank reconciliations and associated transactions.
Posting transactions on both QuickBooks and Xero software.
Month end Management Accounts, including journals.
Managing day to day transactions.
Preparing financial documents such as invoices, accounts payable and receivable.
Preparing and making payment runs.
Submitting BACS transactions.
General accounts administration, including maintaining files.
Other tasks as assigned, and ad hoc work as requested.
This is a full-time office-based position, and the standard hours are 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate should:
Be at least AAT qualified.
Previous experience of using accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and Xero.
Have excellent verbal and written English, including a high level of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Be Self-motivated, logical thinker with a professional attitude.
Have a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
A keen eye for detail and the ability to remain accurate under pressure.
Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines is a must, as well as attention to detail plus the ability to communicate confidently with a wide range of people at all levels.
