Location: Birmingham
Remuneration: £40,000 - £50,000
Benefits: NEST pension & 28 days annual leave
Schedule: 08:00 – 16:00, Monday – Friday (some flexibility & hybrid work available)
The role of the Estimator – Roofing Systems will involve:
*Estimator position dealing with a range of roofing services across industrial, commercial and residential sectors such as: flat roofing, pithed roofing, metal & zinc roofing, lead roofing, green roofs and roof repairs
*Reviewing tender enquiries to gain an understanding of project requirements
*Liaising with clients to acquire any additional information required
*Liaise with suppliers and manufactures to obtain competitive prices
*Producing formal quotations to clients
*Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
*Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors
*Prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are met
*Estimating for projects ranging in value up to circa £1m
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Roofing Systems with:
*Must have estimating experience within the roofing market sector
*Must have experience working on roofing refurbishment projects
*Experienced in any of the following: flat roofing, pithed roofing, metal & zinc roofing, lead roofing, green roofs and roof repairs
*Sound understanding of roofing and building legislation
*Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
*Strong numerical skills
*IT literate (Microsoft Office, particularly savvy in Excel)
*Confident and articulate individual
