Job Description:
Our client is currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on a 3-month temporary contract, home based with some travel required across Dorset, and with the potential to be extended.
The position is due to start in the New Year on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable up to £23 per hour depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within the Housing sector and be happy to have a basic DBS processed.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
*Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused tenancy management service, supporting customers to sustain their tenancies and resolving issues in a fair, empathetic and professional manner
*Manage a varied caseload including property condition concerns, hoarding cases, tenancy breaches and customer permission requests, taking appropriate action in line with policy and legislation
*Work directly with customers, colleagues and partner agencies to identify risks early and agree practical solutions that put customers at the centre of decision-making
*Carry out home visits, site inspections and local area work as required, maintaining strong connections to communities while operating within a national service model.
*Prepare case documentation and represent the organisation at court and formal proceedings when required, supporting enforcement action and tenancy outcome
Experience required:
*Experience required in Social Housing
*Experience working with customers within housing
