Reliability Engineer (Solace)
Reliability Engineer - Solace Messaging
London | Permanent
City Elite are working with a leading financial services firm who are seeking a Solace specialist to support mission-critical messaging infrastructure for real-time trading systems.
Must Have:
*3+ years Solace PubSub+ administration with hands-on experience
*Proven experience configuring Solace environments (VPNs, bridges, queues, topics, client profiles)
*Strong troubleshooting skills - diagnosing message delivery issues, persistence problems, and routing failures
*Experience upgrading and patching Solace appliances and software brokers in production
*Ability to build and deploy Solace infrastructure from scratch (appliance setup, redundancy configurations)
*Log analysis expertise - reviewing Solace logs, identifying anomalies, and performing root cause analysis
*24/7 production support experience in enterprise environments
*WAN/distributed systems expertise across multi-region deployments
*Proficiency with Prometheus/Grafana (or equivalent monitoring tools like Geneos, Splunk)
*Strong Linux/scripting skills (Bash/Python)
*Financial services background preferred

*Administer Solace appliances/brokers (on-prem & cloud)
*Production support, incident response, root cause analysis
*System monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning
*WAN optimization for low-latency messaging
*Automation and documentation
