Role OverviewA global brokerage and financial technology firm is seeking a Settlements Supervisor to join its Matched Principal Settlements function. The role supports end-to-end trade processing for Fixed Income and Equity products and is responsible for the effective daily operation of settlement activities, working four days in the office and one day remote per week. This opportunity is suited to an experienced settlements professional looking to step into a supervisory role.
Key Responsibilities*Oversee timely settlement across multiple asset classes and global markets.
*Investigate and resolve unmatched or failed trades with brokers, counterparties, and internal teams.
*Liaise with custodians to manage settlement exceptions and escalations.
*Complete daily reconciliations and end-of-day operational controls.
*Support training, cross-skilling, and knowledge sharing within the team.
*Assist management with operational projects, process enhancements and new initiatives.
*Escalate material settlement risks and time-sensitive issues where required.
*Build effective relationships across Operations, Front Office, Risk, and Compliance.
*Provide team coverage during absences or peak periods.
Skills & Experience*Minimum of 3 years experience in settlements.
*Strong understanding of Equity and/or Fixed Income settlement lifecycles.
*High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
*Knowledge of market regulations and settlement procedures.
*Client-focused approach with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Systems & Tools*Experience with settlements and reconciliation platforms.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
*Exposure to Euroclear, Clearstream, CREST, or similar custody systems is advantageous.
