Assistant Management Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a Global business based in Wakefield who are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team in Wakefield. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their management accounting experience within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Management Accountant/Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the production of accurate financial information, assisting with month-end processes, and providing insight to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts

* Supporting month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, and journal postings

* Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances

* Assisting with budgets and forecasts

* Producing financial reports and analysis for stakeholders

* Supporting audit processes and ensuring compliance with internal controls

* Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation

* Ad hoc finance support as required

Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in an assistant management accountant or similar role

* Actively studying or willing to study towards AAT, ACCA, or CIMA (desirable)

* Strong Excel skills with confidence handling large data sets

* High attention to detail and strong numerical ability

* Ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment
