Job Description:
Role Purpose:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth within the waste recycling sector by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored solutions that align with sustainability goals. This role requires a proactive approach to market development, strategic planning, and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Growth:
*Identify and secure new business opportunities within the waste recycling industry.
*Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and profitability.

* Client Relationship Management:
*Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, commercial clients, and industrial partners.
*Provide expert advice on waste management solutions and compliance with environmental regulations.

* Market Analysis:
*Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and legislative changes to inform business strategy.
*Prepare reports and forecasts for senior management.

* Sales & Negotiation:
*Prepare proposals, tenders, and quotations for clients.
*Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.

* Collaboration:
*Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure service delivery meets client expectations.
*Liaise with marketing to develop campaigns targeting the waste recycling sector.

Skills & Experience Required:
*Proven track record in business development or sales within the waste management/recycling sector.
*Strong understanding of environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
*Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
*Ability to develop strategic plans and deliver against KPIs.
*Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications:
*Degree or equivalent in Business, Environmental Management, or related field (preferred).
*Full UK driving license.
