Secondary Computing Teacher
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-time
Milk Education are seeking a skilled, knowledgeable, and resilient Computing Teacher to join a forward-thinking department in a Secondary school in South Yorkshire. The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 Computing, delivering both practical and theory-based lessons across relevant areas such as Computer Science, Programming, Digital Literacy, and IT. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality Computing lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons, including programming and problem-solving tasks
* Ensure a safe and well-managed classroom environment that supports effective learning
* Inspire computational thinking, creativity, and independent problem-solving
* Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to support learning
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student outcomes
* Uphold the values and standards of Milk Education and our partner schools
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Specialism in Computing – able to teach KS3 and KS4
* Strong classroom management skills
* Sound knowledge of the Computing national curriculum, including Computer Science fundamentals
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
