English Teacher - Single Sex Secondary School, Northampton Start Date: January 2026 | Full-Time | Temporary (Jan-Apr 2026) with Potential to Become Permanent

We are working in partnership with a well-regarded single sex secondary school in Northampton, seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team from January 2026. The role is initially offered on a temporary basis until April 2026, with strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Role: * Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 opportunities may be available)

* Foster a love of reading, writing, and effective communication

* Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners and support excellent progress

* Contribute to whole-school literacy initiatives and enrichment opportunities

* Work collaboratively within a committed English department on planning, assessment, and student outcomes

The Ideal Candidate: * Holds QTS/QTLS or equivalent with a specialism in English

* Demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom practice

* Is a creative, reflective practitioner with high expectations for behaviour and achievement

* Has excellent classroom management and communication skills

* Is committed to inclusive teaching and student wellbeing

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply, with structured support and mentoring provided.
