Job Description:
Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism and complex needs?
We are currently recruiting two SEN Support Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist school setting supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional needs.
Role Overview: * Provide in-class support to pupils with ASD across a range of abilities and needs
* Work with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis to support learning, communication, and emotional regulation
* Collaborate with teaching staff and therapists to deliver personalised strategies and interventions
* Promote independence, engagement, and inclusion in a specialist learning environment
Ideal Candidates Will Have: * Experience working with children or young people with ASD and complex additional needs
* A calm, patient, and consistent approach
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
* Willingness to follow behaviour and communication plans, including use of visuals or sensory strategies
* School experience is not essential - backgrounds in care, youth work, or similar roles are welcome
