Job Description:
Are you passionate about supporting children with challenging behaviour in a mainstream primary school setting? We are looking for a committed and proactive Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Beckenham from January 2026.
Location: Beckenham
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Long-term role
Term Time Only: Enjoy school holidays off
As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, You Will:
* Provide targeted in-class and small group support to pupils displaying challenging behaviour
* Help pupils develop positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social skills
* Promote a calm, structured, and encouraging learning environment
* Support the class teacher in implementing consistent behaviour strategies
* Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress
We Are Looking For Someone Who: * Has experience supporting children with challenging behaviour in a school or similar setting
* Demonstrates a calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Is confident working within a mainstream primary classroom
