Job Description:
Facilities Manager, Luxury Retail, London, Permanent, £46,000-£55,000
A Luxury Retail company with a mixture of outlets/offices/rental properties, based in and around London, South East and the East of England, requires a Facilities Manager to join them.
This is a stand alone role, so you will be a first class Administrator with great interpersonal skills and the ability to build a rapport with tenants and contractors.
The main duties of the role:
*Ensure the efficient delivery of Facilities Management services, providing hands-on solutions and coordinating contractors as required
*Plan, manage, and improve organisational infrastructure, including buildings, utilities, equipment, and site facilities
*Oversee property maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance programmes to extend asset life
*Manage service providers and contracts (cleaning, utilities, maintenance, office equipment), including sourcing and reviewing quotes
*Organise site inspections and supervise contractors and capital projects, renovations, and infrastructure developments
*Maintain compliance documentation, including PAT testing, insurance certificates, leases, and statutory records
*Act as the primary point of contact for tenants, managing service charges, H&S, insurance, repairs, and property-related issues
*Work with the QHSE Manager to conduct risk assessments and act as Health & Safety Representative for Head Office
*Coordinate employee training and assess travel risk for overseas travel
*Support business continuity planning and emergency response, including on-call availability and occasional weekend work
*Maintain accurate property and tenant records (leases, square footage, utilities usage, service charges, rates)
*Oversee business rates, quarterly recharges, water audits, and utilities monitoring
Ideally, you will have:
*Significant and consistent experience in facilities, property or office management and Health and Safety
*A recognised qualification in Facilities or Building Management
*Good written and verbal communication skills
*Be a level-headed problem solver using rationale and logic to handle issues, often sensitive and confidential by nature.
Once a week you will travel to another of our client’s sites, in order to oversee the entire portfolio.
