Our client is one of the UK’s leading renewable energy suppliers. They have an exciting opportunity for a Solar Roofing Team (Roofer and Electrician) to work on a subcontract basis in Cambridge.
Job description:
*Domestic Solar PV installations, including electrical installation and bird protection on a range of tile and slate roofs.
*Installing various size panel systems (rates will vary on size)
*Carrying out the roofing only side of Solar Installations.
*Travelling around the Cambridge area.
*Working to set time-scales and deadlines.
*Adhering to strict safety regulations and be able to work from heights.
*Maintaining professionalism, high-quality workmanship, and full compliance with scheme requirements.
*Ensuring customers’ homes are treat with care and respect throughout the process
*Uploading evidence of work to Ecomaster.
Person specification:
*Must have a full UK driving licence.
*Clean DBS or willing to do.
*PPE required at all times: hard hat, hi-vis vest/jacket, steel toe cap boots, cutting gloves, eye protection, and correct uniform (tops provided by the client).
*Must be a time served roofer / Electrician and have relevant insurances.
*CSCS card.
*Any experience with solar panel installation would be advantageous.
*Must have or be willing to complete working at height, manual handling and Asbestos awareness.
*Must have or be willing to provide a basic DBS check.
Labour Costs (Materials Provided):
6–8 Panel System:
*Tile Roof: £1,150
*Slate Roof: £1,300
9–10 Panel System:
*Tile Roof: £1,250
*Slate Roof: £1,400
