About the Role
Our client are seeking a reliable and organised Accounts Admin Assistant to support the financial, administrative, and operational functions of the business. Working for the head office, you’ll report to the Accounts Manager and Financial Director. Your role will include helping with the setting up of customer and supplier accounts, nominal ledger payments, reconciliations, administrative support, customer accounts queries and analysis of credit cards and staff expenses. This is a vital and important support role that helps keep the business running smoothly and going from strength to strength.
The companies head office is based in Enfield which is where you will be located. Please note, this is a Monday - Friday in the office position
Key Responsibilities include:
Accounts Payable
*Upload new supplier invoices to the nominal ledger
*Monitor and flag overdue supplier invoices for payment
*Keep accurate records of all payments and supplier documentation
*Update our accounts program with payments
Accounts receivable
*Help with customer queries
*Send copy statements/invoices
Reconciliation Support
*Assisting with reconciling internal records with external statements
*Highlight discrepancies for review
*Bank reconciliation
General Admin & Filling
*Maintain organised digital and paper filing systems
*Ensure records are accurate, accessible and compliant
*Support the Accounts Manager with other administrative task as needed
Requirements
*Experience in an administrative or finance support role, minimum 1 year
*Sales/purchase Ledger Admin experience is ideally preferred
*Must be able to be in the office 5 days a week
*Excellent attention to detail and organised skills
*Experience in dynamic ledgers preferred but not essential
*Strong written and verbal communication
*Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
*Professionals and courteous when dealing with customers and team members
